2 REASONS WHY I KNOW I’M GOING TO HEAVEN Brandy N. Morrison, January 25, 2023November 18, 2023 WE SHOULDN’T BE AFRAID OF DEATH Death is a reality that every human being must eventually face. It is a natural part of life’s journey, and yet it remains one of the most feared and misunderstood aspects of our existence. Despite the inevitability of death, many people are not truly prepared for its arrival. They may have made plans for their earthly affairs, but have not given enough thought to what comes next. As Christians, we are called to live with an eternal perspective. We know that our time on this earth is temporary, and that our ultimate destination is Heaven. However, too often we become so focused on the here and now that we forget to yearn for the glories of our eternal home. We may have a vague sense of what Heaven is like, but we don’t spend enough time meditating on its wonders and preparing our hearts to receive them. As believers, we have the assurance of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. We know that our sins have been forgiven, and that we have been made new in Him. However, we must not become complacent in our faith. We must continue to grow in our relationship with God, and to seek Him with all of our hearts. This means spending time in prayer, studying His Word, and living a life that is pleasing to Him. The Bible tells us that Heaven is a place of indescribable beauty and joy. It is a place where there is no pain, no sorrow, and no death. It is a place where we will be reunited with loved ones who have gone before us, and where we will worship God in perfect harmony with all of creation. The Apostle Paul describes it this way: “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him” (1 Corinthians 2:9). If we truly believe in the reality of Heaven, then we should be living our lives with a sense of urgency. We should be sharing the Gospel with those around us, and doing everything we can to bring others into the Kingdom of God. We should be living with a sense of purpose, knowing that every moment we have on this earth is a precious gift from God. Death is something that we will all face at some point in our lives. As Christians, we have the hope of eternal life in Heaven through faith in Jesus Christ. However, we must not take this hope for granted. We must live our lives with an eternal perspective, yearning for. We need to be living our lives with Heaven on our minds and in our hearts. If you knew that today was your last day, would you be going to dwell in the house of the Lord? Here are the reasons why I know that I am going to go dwell in the House of the Lord. I TRULY LOVE JESUS CHRIST I love Him with all of my heart, I want God in everything that I do in this world. If you find yourself thinking of Him, adoring Him, and worshiping Him, that reveals the work of the Holy Spirit in your life. I HAVE HOPE IN HIM AND HOPE IN HEAVEN This life has been cruel. We all have suffered through heartaches and sorrows in this life. The sadness and the sorrows I have experienced in my life have given me hope for Heaven, I look forward to it in a way that I have never done before. I hope for that day when He will come and wipe every tear from my eye.If you see yourself hoping for Heaven, looking forward to Heaven it’s a sign you are going there. No one accidentally receives eternal life. Everyone in Heaven will have accepted the free gift of salvation. Sign number three that I am going to Heaven is, all of my hopes and assurances of Salvation is based in Jesus Christ. Salvation is through faith alone in Him. My faith alone, followed by the repentance of my sins. When a true Christian hears the message of the Cross, their heart hurts. The Holy Spirit is witnessing to them. My heart hurts, it aches when I think about what Jesus Christ has done for me. What He did for us all. Jesus Christ is the love of my life. Yes, I have never seen Him with my eyes, but He is more real to me than the air that I breathe.Yes, I have never seen Him with my eyes, yet I love Him more than life itself. How could anyone not love the Lord Jesus Christ, after all He has done for us?
