FAKE CHRISTIANITY|ARE YOU USING GOD AS A FIRE ESCAPE?

Are You A Fake Christian?

Are you using God as a fire escape? Counterfeit Christianity is a real thing. It is a real phenomenon.

Isaiah 29: 13-14 (KJV) – Wherefore the Lord said, for as much as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men: 14 – Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvelous work among this people, even a marvelous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.

Counterfeit Christians are real. God is not interested in your religious cliche’s. God is not interested in your religious catchphrases. God is not interested in your reciting of a Bible verse here and there.

God isn’t interested in the religious mumbo jumbo that we concern ourselves with. God is interested in your heart.

Samuel 16:7 (KJV) – For the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.

God doesn’t view the world and the people the way we view the world. My view of the world is limited, because I am just a woman. People can and have pulled the wool over my eyes because I am just a human.

It is easy to fool me and the people around you, but no one can pull the wool over the eyes of God. You cannot trick Him, you cannot deceive Him. How can you lie to someone who knows your decisions before you even make them.

How can you lie to someone who knows your thoughts so far off. How can you lie to someone who knows the future, better than you know the past. You can’t.

Like I said earlier, God is interested in your heart. There are a lot of counterfeit Christians who attend church for a sense of community. So they talk a good game, but their heart is far from God. Some people attend church not because of a sense of community, but rather because they are scared of going to hell.

So they use God as a fire escape, but they don’t really love Him. They are just scared of going to hell. Their heart belongs to the world, and not to God. You can’t always tell a person’s heart by what they say, and that’s the truth.

You see people walking down the aisle , and making vows to one another; and less than six months from making those vows, people break those vows. You can’t always tell a person’s heart by what they say. In the same way you see people proclaim Jesus with their mouth, yet they live like hell itself.

You can’t always tell a person’s heart by what they say. You can’t always tell a person’s heart by what they do. Some people are only Christians when they are being watched , or when other Christians are around them. Only God really knows the heart.

This is why I believe in Heaven we will see people who we are surprised are there, and we will also be shocked at the people who are not there. Are you someone who is treating God as a fire escape?

You know the Word of God is true. You know Heaven is real, and because you know Heaven is real, you also know that hell is real. But you are not done having fun in the world, so you attend church once a week; but the rest of the week you live in the world.

This is not true salvation. True salvation will affect you to your very core. God will become the love of your life. Your life will revolve around Him. He is the one you will love, and all of your other loves; like your love for mankind and your family will spring forth from your love of God.

You see, what makes you a Christian is your relationship with God, and not your name, or your church. It is great to bear a Christian reputation, it is good to have and read the Bible, and it is equally important to belong to a local church. But these things do not form God’s assessment of our relationship with Him.

Fake Christians come to God’s presence just for what they can receive from Him. They are not interested in building a consistent relationship with God. They do not love the Lord with all of their hearts. They are only interested in the things of God.

They are interested in entering Heaven, but not the God of Heaven. So, are you using God as a fire escape? God looks deep into our hearts to know those who truly belong to Him. We cannot deceive God. What ultimately matters, is what is in your heart.

Your body could be in church, but your heart is far from God. So many Christians come close to God only when they are in need. As soon as they get their needs met they forsake their relationship with God.

To be a counterfeit Christian means to be untrue to what you profess. They pretend to love God, but they don’t actually love Him. Sadly there are many people that accept Jesus as their savior, but not as their Lord. Such people are counterfeit Christians.

True salvation comes with Jesus being the Lord of your life. So, I am inviting you to examine yourself, and examine your heart. Are you using God as a fire escape?
