Through trials, storms, and uncertainty,We find strength in His divinity. For with God, all things are possible,And through His love, we remain unstoppable. DEVOTIONAL With God all things are possible. Such a simple, yet profound statement. It is a reminder that no matter how difficult our circumstances may be, no matter how impossible the situation seems, God is always able to do the impossible. It is a message of hope, faith, and trust in our Heavenly Father. This phrase, “with God all things are possible,” can be found in various places throughout the Bible. Matthew 19:26 is one of the most well-known references. It reads, “Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” These words were spoken by Jesus when He was talking with His disciples about the difficulty the rich have in entering the kingdom of heaven. The disciples were astonished, asking how anyone could possibly be saved if the rich, who are often thought of as blessed, are not able to enter. Jesus’ answer was that it is impossible for man, but with God, all things are possible. The phrase appears again in the book of Mark, chapter 10, verse 27. Here, Jesus is speaking with a rich young man who has come to Him, asking what he must do to inherit eternal life. Jesus tells him to sell everything he has and give to the poor, and then he will have treasure in heaven. The young man walks away sad because he is very wealthy. Jesus then turns to His disciples and says, “It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.” The disciples are shocked, wondering who then can be saved. Jesus responds, “With man it is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.” There are countless examples throughout the Bible of individuals who faced seemingly impossible situations, only to find that with God, all things are possible. Abraham and Sarah were promised a child in their old age, something that seemed impossible, yet Isaac was eventually born. Moses led the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt, parting the Red Sea to do so. Joshua and his army marched around the walls of Jericho, believing in God’s promised victory, and the walls came tumbling down. David defeated Goliath with just one stone, and Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego survived the fiery furnace unharmed. Even Jesus’ resurrection from the dead was something that seemed impossible, yet it happened, proving that with God, nothing is too difficult. It means that no matter what we face in life, no matter how dark or impossible the situation may seem, we can trust in God’s power to do the impossible. When we feel overwhelmed, we can turn to God in prayer, relying on His strength and guidance. When we face obstacles in our work, our relationships, or our health, we can remember that nothing is too difficult for God. When we are scared or anxious, we can find comfort in the knowledge that God is with us and that He is able to do above and beyond all that we can ask or imagine It is important to remember that when Jesus said, “With God all things are possible,” He was not saying that we can have anything we want just by asking Him. Rather, He was saying that nothing is too difficult for God and that we can trust Him to carry us through even the most impossible situations. We need to have faith and trust in God’s timing and His plan for us. Even if things do not always work out the way we hoped or expected them to, we can trust that God is sovereign and that He is working all things for our ultimate good. In conclusion, with God, all things are possible. This phrase is a powerful reminder of God’s sovereignty, His power, and His love for us. No matter what we face in life, we can have hope and confidence in God’s ability to do the impossible. We should turn to God in prayer, trusting in His strength and guidance. We should have faith and trust in His plan for us, even when things do not go the way we hoped. It is by relying on God’s power that we can find the strength to persevere through life’s challenges and to live our lives to glorify Him.
