REVELATION 9: 14-16 (KJV)Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates. And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men. And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.
THE EUPHRATES IN HISTORY
The Euphrates provided the water that led to the first flowering of civilization in Sumer, dating from about the 4th millennium BC.
Many important ancient cities were located on or near the riverbank, including Mari, Sippar, Nippur, Shuruppak, Uruk, Ur and Eridu.
The river valley formed the heartlands of the later empires of Babylonia and Assyria. For several centuries, the river formed the eastern limit of effective Egyptian and Roman control and western regions of the Persian Empire.
Also, the Battle of Karbala occurred at the banks of the Euphrates river, where Imam Hussain, along with his family and friends, were martyred.
Moreover, the Euphrates River served as the lifeline for the city of Babylon, one of the most powerful and prosperous cities of ancient times.
The river provided the city with water for irrigation, transportation, and trade. Babylon’s wealth and influence were largely due to its strategic location on the banks of the Euphrates.
THE EUPHRATES RIVER NOW
Droughts are not rare in Iraq, though officials say they have been more frequent in recent years. But drought is only part of what is choking the Euphrates and its larger, healthier twin, the Tigris.
THE EUPHRATES IN THE BIBLE
The Euphrates is mentioned 5 times in the Bible. It is otherwise known as the biblical river, and it dates back to the Garden of Eden, the origin of civilization, it is where the first angry person to cast a word instead of a rock.
These very waters are thought to hold the secrets of history, it was nicknamed the Mesopotamian Marsh because it is the bedrock of ancient Mesopotamia and ancient Babylon where it was believed agriculture, culture, and law first developed.
It was even speculated that Gilgamesh, the King of Uruk, a city dating back to 400 A.D., 2,500 years before the birth of Christ, was buried under the river.
ARCHEOLOGISTS MAKE TERRIFYING DISCOVERY
I urge you to pray before watching this video footage. This video and audio were recorded by archaeologists who have been excavating ancient artifacts for months.
There have been all kinds of discoveries unearthed by archaeologists since the river has dried up. The locals that live in the area have been hearing the ominous strange moans and screams for awhile now.
The archaeologists have stated that the locals are terrified of that area and they will not go near it. When I saw this footage and heard the audio, the sounds on this tape were absolutely frightening.
At one point, the voice screaming changes dramatically, it sounds so demonic. You hear what sounds like heavy chains moving around.
To me, it sounds like the voice is saying, “Hello, Hello,” and that’s the moment when the voice changes. While I watched, I felt an immense feeling of dread and fear come over me. My body was covered in goosebumps.
THE PROPHECY
“Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared.”
REVELATION 16:12 (KJV)
I realize that a lot of people who are living their lives with their heads in the sand, and will be the first ones to shout, “Oh, no you’re wrong, the river is drying up because of climate change.
If you are reading this, and that is what you believe; then you are a believing the lie. Truth is truth. Climate change does not exist. God has been judging this unrepentant world.
If you are reading this, and you are an unbeliever please do not let the god of this world whisper his lies into your mind.
Remember he was a liar, and a murderer from the beginning, and he is a liar, and a murderer now, all he wants to do is steal, kill, and destroy.
All Jesus wants you to do is know that He loves you, He wants you to know that He gave His life for you. All Jesus wants is to love us, and for us to love Him back. That is all.
No matter how many times we may fall down in this life, He will never stop loving us, He will always forgive us for our sins. But we must humble ourselves before Him and repent of our evil ways.
He doesn’t want any of us to go to Hell, God doesn’t send people to hell. People send themselves, those who choose to deny Him, Jesus said “If you deny Me before your friends, I will surely deny you before My Father!
Satan has already lost this battle. Evil will not defeat good, when I hear those beautiful trumpets sound, and I see Jesus ride through those clouds on His white horse, it will be the most wonderful and beautiful day that will never end. I get to go home!
