A congregation is in shock after a beloved religious leader was shot in the head while preaching on a Glendale street corner on Wednesday night.

In an update on Friday morning, Glendale police say 26-year-old Hans Schmidt, a husband and father of two, remains in critical condition and officers are asking for the public’s help in finding who’s responsible.

The shocking and tragic incident that unfolded this Wednesday in the heart of Glendale, Arizona, has left a coumminity in shock and a family clinging to hope.

This man, engaged in the noble act of street preaching, was shot in the head. Miraculously, he remains alive, fighting for his life in a local hospital. Adding to the distress, the assailant responsinle for this horrible crime is still at large, evading justice, and leaving a coumminity on edge.

The gravity of this crime is heightened by the fact that it occured at a bustling intersection, yet the absence of any intersection or CCTV cameras in the vicinity adds an eerie layer of uncertainity in my mind.

The victim, a married father of two young children, is not just an individual; he represents a family, a faith community, and the broader societal fabric. As the police appeal to the public for information, the absence of leads underscores the importance of community cooperation.

I was taken aback this morning as I was reading about this tragic incident, my initial thoughts were, it’s 2023, and there are cameras everywhere, literally. Am I right?

It is disconcerning that this incident occured without any visual evidence. We can only pray that someone will come forward with information that will lead to the capture of the assailant.

Despite the severity of his injuries, the religious leader survived the vicious attack. It is nothing short of a miracle.

As he clings to life in the hospital, it becomes evident that divine intervention played a significant role in his survival. Let us unite in prayer for his recovery, his wife, and their young children.

In the face of such inexplicable events, we should seek solace in our faith, we can overcome the darkness and find solace in God’s protection. This incident may well become a testament to the resilience and strength that belief can provide in the darkest of times.

Christian Persecution

The incident in Glendale, Arizona serves as a reminder of the increasing Christian persecution worldwide. As Islam continues to be the fastest-growing religion, Christianity still remains to be the most persecuted one. One cannot help but notice the prevalent mockery of Jesus Christ in various aspects of society.

Why does Christianity above all other faiths, remain to be the focus of criticism and ridicule in the public sphere? Why are all the other religions spared from the mockery and ridicule? The answer is simple.

This bias serves as a clear indication of the only one true loving God, and He is Jesus Christ. This world mocks and blaspheme His Holy name, because He is the One. – “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”

In Closing

This tragic incident in Glendale, Arizona serves as a stark reminder of the fragility of life, the need for reflection on broader societal issues. As we grapple with the aftermath of this unthinkable act; this article stands as a call to action – a call to unity, prayer, and a reevaluation of our societal values.

In the face of darkness, our faith becomes a guiding light, I want to encourage my readers to hold onto that light as they navigate through this increasingly challenging world.

Let’s join together in collective prayer for the Arizona man and his family. May he find strength, recovery, and healing. As we all navigate through this increasingly dark world, as Christians we must seek spiritual discernment and put on the whole armor of God to protect ourselves from the wrath of Satan.

I firmly believe the hand of God is definitely at play here. He’s hanging on, desperately fighting for his life, already overcoming unimaginable odds. I truly believe in my heart that God will pull him and his family through this horrible tragedy.

I have complete faith in his recovery, he will get right back out there on the street corner and continue to spread the Gospel, without any fear…for as children of God, we know he has our backs.
